PLATINUM RING WITH EMERALD CUT DIAMONDS – AMERICA 1950s
A platinum ring from the 1950s, of American craftsmanship, characterized by a geometric design in which three natural emerald-cut Diamonds are arranged in a line at the center of the setting.
The central Diamond, of larger dimensions, is set slightly higher than the two side ones, creating a harmonious movement between the three gems.
Four natural round brilliant-cut Diamonds, two on each side, complete the arrangement of the stones and add further luminosity to the jewel.
Of particular interest is the pierced gallery beneath the central setting, worked with arches and volutes that reveal the artisanal care dedicated even to the less visible parts of the ring.
In the 1950s, the use of platinum was particularly appreciated in high-quality jewelry for its characteristics and the value of the metal, as well as for its ability to elegantly accommodate diamond settings.
