RING WITH EMERALD AND DIAMONDS – AMERICAN JEWELRY 1950s
Elegant American ring from the 1950s, characterized by a refined geometric design in which the presence of the central Emerald is enhanced by a rich arrangement of natural Diamonds with different types of cuts.
At the center of the setting is a natural Emerald of approximately 0.80 ct, octagonally cut, with an intense and deep green hue.
The gem is supported by four Platinum prongs, clearly visible at the corners, which ensure stable setting and keep its surface free, allowing light to enhance its color and depth.
On either side of the Emerald are natural baguette-cut Diamonds, arranged vertically and side-by-side according to a precise geometric pattern.
The linear surfaces of the baguettes constitute an element of particular interest in the jewel, creating a sharp contrast with the brilliance of the round brilliant-cut Diamonds that surround the central part.
The outline is, in fact, composed of a sequence of natural round brilliant-cut Diamonds, set in a close arrangement that follows the profile of the Emerald and amplifies its luminosity.
The combination of the intense green of the Emerald, the rigorous geometry of the baguette Diamonds, and the brilliance of the round Diamonds creates a particularly rich effect, typical of high-quality American jewelry from the mid-twentieth century.
The Platinum setting features meticulous craftsmanship and a substantial structure, with shoulders that harmonize with the central bezel and an elegant, clean shank.
The relationship between the different surfaces of the gems is also particularly interesting: the octagonal cut of the Emerald defines the focal point of the jewel, while the baguette Diamonds emphasize its geometry and the round brilliant Diamonds introduce a more intense and lively luminosity.
This is an American ring from the 1950s with a notable presence, in which the quality of the Platinum craftsmanship and the use of different types of diamond cuts enhance the beauty of the central Emerald.
